The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2026 race weekend is scheduled for 4-6 December at Yas Marina Circuit on Yas Island, with the race on Sunday 6 December. The organizer's wider event runs 3-6 December, including Thursday entertainment. Four-day event admission therefore starts before Friday's Formula 1 practice.
A season finale beside the marina, with evenings beyond the grandstands.
A seat beside the starting grid and a patch of grass above the circuit offer two very different versions of Abu Dhabi's Grand Prix. So does the journey afterwards: a night on Yas Island, an evening back in the capital, or the road to Dubai. The best weekend begins with those choices.
Tickets and prices: where to start
Start with the official Abu Dhabi GP ticket website or its ticketing partner, Ticketmaster UAE. The organizer also lists authorised resellers and telephone booking on 800-YAS (927) or +971 2 497 9000. Choose the ticket category and attendance days first, then compare the seat, concert access and other inclusions before paying.
For a concrete price reference, the Main Grandstand four-day page displayed a headline rate from AED 6,200 when checked on 15 September 2026, with that product marked currently unavailable. The same page contains conflicting lower-price blocks, so this is a published reference, not a bookable quote or the cheapest Grand Prix ticket. Use the live purchase flow to confirm availability and the full payable amount, including any fees and taxes, for your selected product.
Budget for the whole weekend: tickets, accommodation, transport and meals. A hospitality package and a grandstand seat are not equivalent purchases. The sections below explain the viewing choices, concerts, hotel locations and return journey so you can choose a ticket that fits the trip, rather than arranging everything else around a headline price.
Three days of F1, four days of the event
Formula 1's calendar places Abu Dhabi at the end of the season. Friday brings practice, Saturday qualifying and Sunday the Grand Prix. Thursday adds an opening day around the circuit's entertainment areas; the Main Grandstand four-day product lists the F1 Fanzone and West Oasis. That extra day can shape an arrival flight or hotel stay without adding another F1 race.
The view matters as much as the ticket name
Main Grandstand puts the starting grid, pit lane and finish at the centre of the experience. The West Grandstand offers another focus: the braking into Turn 6 after the long straight. For someone following the racing closely, that distinction is more useful than choosing a seat solely by its distance from a hotel.
Abu Dhabi Hill is the outdoor alternative, with grassy, picnic-style viewing and large screens rather than a selected grandstand seat. The organizer also lists premium and hospitality categories. Those names cover different experiences: a seat, a lounge and a catered package need their own inclusion details. A listed category does not establish remaining availability.
The evening has its own admission
Four-day tickets include general admission to all After-Race Concerts at Etihad Live, formerly Etihad Park. General admission is first come, first served; the Golden Circle is a separate upgrade with different access benefits. In the Abu Dhabi GP app, the concert has its own entry barcode. The race barcode alone does not admit its holder to the show.
Yasalam Classics is separately ticketed, so the wider entertainment programme is not one all-access pass. A concert evening also changes the return journey: a daytime island shuttle timetable is not confirmation of a late ride back to Dubai.
Yas Island, central Abu Dhabi or Dubai?
W Abu Dhabi - Yas Island spans the circuit, although its rooms have different marina or track views. Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island has a waterfront setting on Yas Bay's promenade. Yas Plaza Circuit by IHG is another hotel featured in the island's Grand Prix packages. These are different bases, not interchangeable promises of a balcony overlooking the race.
The official Yas Island Grand Prix package combines a minimum three-night stay with a selected four-day ticket category. An ordinary room reservation does not establish that inclusion. Staying on Yas suits a weekend centred on racing and concerts; central Abu Dhabi leaves room for a broader city stay. Dubai can suit visitors already based there, with an intercity return after each attendance day.
Arrival is only half the journey
Yas Island sits east of central Abu Dhabi. From Dubai, the E11 is the main road approach; a Dubai airport arrival adds an intercity transfer, while Abu Dhabi's airport is close to the island. Taxis or arranged transfers allow a visit without driving. Public transport involves its own connections and operating hours.
For a race weekend, the final approach depends on the ticket's entry area and current event transport arrangements. A short distance on a hotel map is not a confirmed walking route through event gates. Parking allocation, shuttle stops and the journey home need the organizer's event information; ordinary island driving estimates cannot promise a post-race arrival time.

Questions people ask
Can a ticket screenshot be used at the gate?
The organizer requires tickets in the Abu Dhabi GP app and rejects screenshots or printouts. The app connects to the Ticketmaster account used for purchase; the Ticketmaster app itself is not the entry ticket.
