Explore Al Marjan Island hotels, restaurants and bars through a Rove stay, NEO Sky Bar, CLAW BBQ and ULA, plus Azure at Waldorf Astoria, prices and booking advice.
Al Marjan Island makes more sense as a small holiday than a list of hotels. Spend the afternoon between the pool and the sea, have a proper meal, then let the evening take you somewhere different: a rooftop at Mövenpick, a barbecue spread at CLAW or the tucked-away approach to ULA. You do not need to spend every hour inside the hotel where you sleep.
This guide starts with my stay at Rove and visits to the island's restaurants and bars, then brings in other places worth comparing. It also steps off the island for Azure at Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah in nearby Al Hamra. Hotel rates, restaurant reservations and the journey from Dubai come after the places themselves.
First, understand the island
Al Marjan is a man-made archipelago of four coral-shaped islands on Ras Al Khaimah's coast. The tourism authority describes 7.8 kilometres of beaches. It is a resort district rather than the historic centre of RAK, and the hotel you choose shapes much of the trip: your beach, swimming pool, breakfast and the first place you sit down in the evening.
Think in hotel clusters, not one continuous restaurant street. Mövenpick brings NEO and ULA into one stop; Hampton has CLAW and Karma by Buddha-Bar. A restaurant reservation at another hotel is a different arrangement from permission to use its swimming pool or beach. Ask about those separately.
Rove Al Marjan Island: the stay that anchors this guide
Rove is the hotel I stayed at, rather than simply visited for dinner. What stayed with me was the combination of the view, the swimming pool, the poolside bar and the sea immediately in front of the hotel. Those are not four separate excursions: they are the ingredients of an afternoon in one place.

There seemed to be a strong Russian-speaking presence during my stay, and I had the impression of an English-, Arabic- and Russian-speaking environment. That is a personal impression, not a guarantee of which languages every shift can accommodate. If language support matters for your booking, ask the hotel directly.
Beyond the pool, Rove lists a splash pad, children's play areas, a piazza with DJ sets and a beachside beverage truck. These help explain its informal, social approach to a beachfront stay. When choosing a room, compare the actual view category rather than assuming every room looks out over the same scene.
The Daily and the poolside bar: no need to dress up every meal
The Daily is Rove's restaurant, and the burger-and-fries photograph below comes from this visit. It is the useful counterpoint to a destination dinner: somewhere to eat without turning the meal into the main event. For a short stay, that matters as much as having a spectacular restaurant on the itinerary.

Rove's opening announcement distinguishes The Daily, The Pool Bar and the Rove Beachside Truck. Keep those different settings in mind when deciding whether you want a meal, a post-swim drink or more time beside the sea.

NEO Sky Bar: the Mövenpick rooftop
The rooftop in my photographs is NEO Sky Bar at Mövenpick Resort Al Marjan Island. The open-air setting, lit bar and views make it a different evening from staying down at beach level. The hotel describes panoramic views, drinks, light food and shisha.

That recollection is not a current menu recommendation by product name. For a similar choice, describe what you like to the staff rather than relying on an uncertain spelling. Check seasonal opening before making the trip specifically for NEO: its official page currently lists a June-to-September summer closure. The rooftop photograph records my visit, not confirmation that it is open tonight.
CLAW BBQ RAK: a different kind of table
CLAW BBQ RAK is at Hampton by Hilton Marjan Island. The food photograph from my visit tells the story more directly than a polished hotel image: a table filled with barbecue, fish, salad and toast, with red-and-white checks and CLAW-branded paper.

Hilton describes American barbecue and seafood alongside sports screens, arcade games, billiards and a mechanical bull. That points towards a more animated outing than a quiet seaside dinner. Choose it for the kind of evening you want, not simply because it is close to your hotel. A group catching a match and a couple looking for a low-key conversation have different priorities.
ULA: the pleasure of a tucked-away approach
ULA is also at Mövenpick, but it is a beachside restaurant and bar rather than the rooftop. Its official description centres on Mediterranean-influenced dining, the water and a day-to-evening setting.
That does not mean every session will be silent: the venue also advertises DJs and entertainment. Ask what is taking place on your date if you are choosing it for a quieter meal. The setting and the programme both matter when choosing between a long lunch and an evening visit.
Prices and booking: compare the whole stay
Compare the total for your dates, not an undated “from” room price. Enter the same number of adults and children, then check breakfast, room view, cancellation terms and the final taxes and fees. A cheaper room-only stay with meals elsewhere can work very differently from a resort package designed around eating in-house.
For restaurants, check the menu for the specific RAK branch. A CLAW Dubai menu or ULA Dubai offer is not a substitute. Confirm any minimum spend, table location and whether a pool or beach package is part of the reservation; do not assume a lunch bill includes a day pass.
One concrete menu reference
Azure's official page, checked on 15 September 2026, advertises a seasonal forest mushroom and ricotta cappelletti dish at AED 120. This is a price for that particular offer, not an average meal cost or the price of the dishes in my photographs. The same page lists daily service from noon to 6 pm; reconfirm before travelling.

Useful reservation routes
ULA pool and beach passes are a separate purchase from dinner. Its dedicated pass page lists AED 200 on weekdays, AED 250 at weekends and AED 350 on public holidays, with food-and-drink credits of AED 100, AED 100 and AED 150 respectively. However, its events page lists AED 250 for weekdays, and the introductory wording says fully redeemable despite those smaller credits. These official pages disagree, so treat the figures as published references, not a confirmed quote.
Before paying, ask ULA to confirm the total and redeemable credit for your date, plus the ages of everyone using the pool. Sunbeds are first come, first served; a pass is not a guaranteed choice of bed. For same-day bookings, the venue lists +971 7 246 0199. Its entry policy requires valid original ID and asks guests to cover swimwear in the restaurant. Information checked on 16 September 2026.

Other hotels and another dinner option
Mövenpick: beach resort with different evening settings
The island tourism guide describes Mövenpick's beach and three outdoor pools. For this itinerary, its appeal is also the contrast between a rooftop drink at NEO and beachside dining at ULA. My visit here was to the bar, so this is not a room review.
Hampton: CLAW and Karma in one hotel cluster
Alongside CLAW, Hampton lists Karma by Buddha-Bar, with pan-Asian and international fusion dishes and a music-led evening atmosphere. It offers another option when the group wants something different from barbecue. I have not supplied a first-hand review of Karma here.

Rixos Bab Al Bahr: compare the package, not just the room
Rixos is worth looking at if you would rather organise the holiday around one resort. Its official site describes an all-inclusive proposition with dining, drinks, entertainment and children's clubs, subject to package conditions and exceptions. Check the plan attached to your actual room rate. Paying for included dinners and then eating elsewhere every night may defeat the reason for choosing it.
Rixos Bab Al Bahr: resort and package information
Radisson and DoubleTree: broaden the shortlist
The tourism authority also lists Radisson Resort Ras Al Khaimah Marjan Island and DoubleTree by Hilton Resort & Spa Marjan Island. Include them in a same-date comparison if your first choice is full or the room arrangement does not suit your group. These are additional options, not hotels I am claiming to have stayed in.
Nearby Al Hamra: Azure at Waldorf Astoria
Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah is in nearby Al Hamra, not on Al Marjan Island. Give it its own map stop. The grand exterior and palms already change the mood from the informal Rove setting before you sit down to eat.

The restaurant I recall visiting was Azure. Hilton describes it as a Mediterranean restaurant beside the main pool, with indoor and outdoor seating. My photographs show pasta, risotto and a view towards the terrace: a very different lunch setting from the barbecue table at CLAW.

This was a restaurant visit, not a hotel stay. It works as a separate lunch idea for someone staying on Al Marjan, rather than a reason to change hotels halfway through a short break. Book the restaurant directly and ask about parking and any additional facility access you need.
From Dubai, and how to put the weekend together
Set your navigation to the hotel or restaurant itself, not just Ras Al Khaimah. The city-centre destination is different from this southern resort coast. Mövenpick's published approach uses Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311), exit 110, then E11 towards Marjan Island Boulevard. Use live directions for the journey time and any changes to the final approach rather than building a dinner reservation around one fixed estimate.
Mövenpick: location and driving approach
Check the drive from Downtown Dubai to Rove Al Marjan Island. For an evening involving drinks, arrange a taxi or another driver instead of planning to drive between bars.
A simple overnight plan
Arrive with time for the pool and beach. Keep lunch easy at The Daily, then choose one main evening stop: CLAW for barbecue, ULA for the beachside setting or NEO when its rooftop is operating. The next day can be a slow morning followed by a pre-booked lunch at Azure. This is a suggested combination, not a claim that I visited every venue in that exact sequence.
Add a different side of the coast
If you want more than hotels, look at Al Jazeera Al Hamra heritage village. The tourism authority describes traditional coastal architecture and recommends visiting in daylight. It offers a contrast to the new resort landscape rather than another pool to compare. Check visitor access before adding it to the drive.
The point is not to fit every restaurant into one night. Choose a comfortable base, leave room for the beach and pick the evening atmosphere you actually want. For a car for the journey, ask Mifto about rental options. Hotel and restaurant bookings remain separate.
