At the Top is the observation experience at Burj Khalifa in Downtown Dubai, reached through Dubai Mall. The attraction is the change of scale: streets, the lake and neighbouring buildings become parts of a larger city pattern. Daylight and evening offer different versions of that view, with visibility influencing how far the landscape opens out.

The neighbourhood becomes a landscape beneath you.

The standard At the Top experience centres on levels 124 and 125. The operator distinguishes it from At the Top SKY, which includes level 148, and The Lounge on levels 152 to 154. These are different experiences rather than interchangeable names for the same deck. For many visitors, the pleasure is less about choosing the highest number and more about recognising places below. A neighbourhood explored on foot earlier in the day takes on a new shape from above. In daylight, the roads and building forms are easier to read; after dark, the emphasis shifts towards illuminated streets and towers. Sunset can bridge those moods, although a booked time does not guarantee a clear horizon. The view invites a slower look as well as a photograph.

Planning a visit to Burj Khalifa: At the Top

Two to three hours including arrival is a useful allowance, with the actual pace affected by entry and lift queues. The ticket identifies the observation levels and any hospitality included. A meal afterwards can make the visit part of a Downtown afternoon, while keeping enough flexibility for the time spent inside. The lake and Dubai Mall give the surrounding area other things to enjoy, so the deck need not carry the whole day's expectations. Visitors chiefly interested in the tower's exterior architecture can also enjoy a ground-level outing; the paid viewpoint offers a different perspective rather than completing a required route. Weather remains part of any skyline visit, and no distant landmark is guaranteed to be visible.

Location and arrival

The visitor approach is through Dubai Mall, where At the Top has its own signs and entry arrangements. A map arrival at the tower's base or a neighbouring driveway is not necessarily the observation entrance. The walk through the mall is part of reaching the attraction, whether the journey begins at the Metro connection, a taxi drop-off or parking. This distinction is particularly useful for a timed ticket, which relates to the experience rather than arrival somewhere in Downtown.

Questions people ask

Do all Burj Khalifa tickets reach the same floors?

No. The operator separates At the Top on levels 124 and 125, SKY with level 148, and The Lounge on levels 152 to 154. The selected product determines access and inclusions. The most suitable choice depends on whether your priority is the observation view or a particular hospitality experience.
